Covers are deceiving…

13 Apr

Along the lines of the old adage of “judging a book by its cover”, the following performance shows that the cover doesn’t necessarily tell the story.

It appears that frumpella, Susan Boyle, who was once bullied and teased has suddenly been thrust into the British spotlight as an unlikely hero of those who certainly can identify with her.  (Check out the number of views on that YouTube.)

Nearly 48, never been kissed and living with her cat, Pebbles, Susan strikes a blow for those who are not quite perfect on the outside but possess gigantic talent and beauty on the inside.

Bravo.

Not my favorite type of music, but Susan blew me away. I love it when these type of shows INSPIRE and entertain.

Here I sit in my cube at work with tears running down my face. What a brave, brave woman to put it out there like that and have the belief in her abilities. How many passed on hearing her because she didn’t fit the mold of what they thought a great singer should be.

Lesson? If it is a personal passion keep reaching.

I just learned…It was Susan’s promise to her mother on her deathbed that she would do this.

This video made my day, my week, my month! What an inspiration! Tears rolled here, too!

How can that big, big beautiful voice hide for 40 years????
