One word – smoking

Did you see the Rolling Stone interview with Clapton in a recent issue? He’s 65 and says his best music is still ahead of him!! He also talked about playing with Stevie Winwood, how Cream was never his kind of music, etc.
I also want to note, as you probably know, that Kris Allen won American Idol. I don’t consider this a cultural war/Christian thing at all. I loved the guy, because he makes such sweet, down-home music, and is a genuine musician with my taste! Someone just asked what he’d do with his first big check, after scraping along on little money, and he said, “Buy a great guitar.”

Just read about this in Rolling Stone. It Might Get Loud, a movie with Jimmy Page, Jack White and The Edge will premiere in LA and NY on August 14th. Here’s the trailer.
Here’s the link for the official site.

Enjoyed the Allman clip (obviously before Duane “ate a peach”).
For many years they played at the Warehouse in New Orleans on New Year’s Eve. Great shows and memories.
