About

This blog is to talk about music.  That’s it.  Who cares who I am?

Ok.  Ok.  I’m a good ole Cajun girl livin’ in the re-surging city of Mobile, Alabama.  I’m known in some circles as Double D.  I love music, golf, LSU football and Mr. D.  I have a college-boy, Dave, and I’m speeding toward retirement hoping the Popo doesn’t catch me with his radar.  I work hard for the money, bring home the bacon and fry it up in a pan, but looking forward to rollin’ on the river — SOON.

No problem. You can use it if you like. I took it a few years ago from an airplane.

FYI: What Paul Pena sang on Conan was 2 of the 3 verses of the way the song “Jet Airliner” was originally written. Steve Miller made the changes. Trust me on this one!

I know. My point was that Paul changed up Steve’s version (the commonly known version), but I wasn’t very clear that it was his version (the original). I’m a huge Penaphile and continue to try to expose other people to his music. A great talent.

I used to drop by here quite a bit as I have always loved all of the music discussions but I’m guessing you’ve moved on to greener pastures as they say! I just wanted to tell you that your blog provided a lot of enjoyment for me in past days and I miss the posts. I hope life is being kind to you.
